Halfling Dies in Bizarre Accident

In a bizarre incident today, Riceak Beestinger, a visiting Halfling noble from The Talenta Plains, was viciously attached and eaten by his mount, a black-striped clawfoot dinosaur.

His family (choosing to remain anonymous), terribly ashamed and embarrassed, has offered a handsome reward for the capture and return of the ravenous clawfoot.

Sources say that Riceak was on an important mission to deliver a unique and important item to the Talenta Ambassador to Sharn, when he was viciously mauled and eaten by his own mount. “There wasn’t a scrap left after that monster was done with him”, said one of the unfortunate witnesses. “It didn’t even leave a boot”

The incident happened in the Tavicks Landing section of High Walls. It’s not clear why Riceak was in this section of Sharn, but sources say he seemed to be in a hurry to find someone. One resident was quoted as saying “The creature seemed like a ravenous animal snapping and clawing at everything in sight.” He was further quoted by saying “the Halfling seemed preoccupied, he wasn’t even trying to control the animal.”

Ambassador Elhorn Sandtracker has offered an undisclosed small fortune for the safe delivery of the lost item. “It’s practically worthless; I’ve already placed several wagers that it won’t be returned with in 2 months time”. The ambassador is known to be an avid gambler.

The Watch Sergeant on duty at the time has warned the residents of High Walls to stay away from any ravenous looking clawfoot dinosaurs.
